So much for losing 😐 It was a tad bit earlier than usual this morning, so I'm sure some of this is water/ undigested food. I haven't been overeating, but yesterday other than a trip to the grocery store didn't include lots of activity. I felt tired so I wasn't even upset when it started pouring & rained out our afternoon walk.

I was feeling anxious & agitated, but am somewhat better now. We are going to Canada for our niece's service scheduled for Tuesday morning. All the info we were getting online & by phone about the Covid test we need to cross the border was causing me a lot of anxiety due to results turnaround times. Trying to coordinate exactly when to get the test, when to leave, when we'd get results & the time frame to cross the border was boggling my mind. We have to be tested within 72 hours of crossing and the drive is 15ish hours. It's also a difficult drive to do straight through. We finally talked to someone in person today that clarified they could do the PCR test & have results in an hour. So we plan to have the test done Saturday morning & leave that afternoon. I won't be totally relieved til we test Negative & get into Canada. Then comes the saying goodbye. All of our family is wrecked. I want to be with them but I know all the feelings will be intensified.

Today & tomorrow we've been getting ready for the trip...booking the kennel, getting insurance docs for the car, booking travel health insurance, prepping meals for the dogs, stopping mail, filling out the online docs for border crossing, packing, prepping the house to be away for several days (turn off well pump, ice maker, hot water heaters, watering plants)....

Planning leftovers for dinner & a salad.

It's hot but we should get in at least a short walk.

traveling is so stressful sometimes

Tr3, it wouldn't be so stressful if we weren't trying to cross the freshly opened border to Canada during a Pandemic. The added stress of a timeline when we need to be there by a certain time. I usually deal with the stresses of travel OK.
