I’m starting to think I don’t eat enough. I’m tired all the time 🤦🏻‍♀️ I eat about 1600cal per day, but burn nearly 3000cal a day. Plus I’m not losing any weight😔
Any advice?

Hey, I think you eat way too little for the amount you burn. I would have no energy either. I don't have exactly the same problem but I have noticed I have more energy when I drink fruit smoothies that I just blend up (not protein shake crap). Hope you have more energy soon

Do you have a specific eating plan you follow? Are you fasting? I find that Intermittent fasting helps a great deal with losing weight

Just from personal experience I found I wasn’t counting my calories properly and I was under eating, I was always tired, and not fueling my body with proper food because I was so worried I’d eat over my daily allowance. I burn on average 900 calories a day - and that’s after intense fitness (ie sweat 1000, running or gyming) - this is just from my watch tracked calories, and doesn’t include that which my body burns naturally. I’m eating in a maintenance calorie count of 2200 now and I have never felt better! I’m still losing weight, and I’m HAPPY because I’m not binging or feeling hungry. If you’re burning 3000 calories a day, which is HECTIC, you should be eating way more than 1600!! It’s SO important to fuel your body properly!

A woman must not eat more than 1200 kcl and men must not exceed 1600 kcl.

That is complete nonsense ! There is no way someone can tell you that ALL women can't eat more than 1200 calories a day and ALL men can't eat more than 1600 calories. Everyone's bodies differ as well as everyones job description. My fiance is on his feet all day and if he only ate 1600 calories, he'd die. I work behind a computer and STILL burn around 1800 to 2000 calories a day (without exercise). And I exercise daily. If I only ate 1200 calories, I'd be starving myself. The most important thing is to fuel your body, NOT to deprive it.

You may be eating too little. Your body is probably storing. Try up your calories a bit with lean protein and veggies. I find just increasing portion sizes helps when I need more.

I'd say eat at your maintenance and then continue your exercise as per normal. The deficit created by your exercise should allow you to still lose weight, your calorie deficit is too drastic for the amount of energy you are using in a day. At max I'd say 500 below your maintenance calories and if it's still not moving as you would like then adding Intermittent Fasting should get it moving again. But first increase to maintanence and track from there. Good Luck!

I track my calories with my watch, exercise about 2 hours daily and stick to a 16/8 IF. I’m also on a very strict diet for gut health which limits my options a lot!!! And that causes a problem! I’m gluten free, lactose free, sugar free, yeast free and a lot of other frees!!! I have to eat everything freshly prepared, which creates a problem with packing lunches! I do eat a lot, but its mostly green veggies that doesn’t have a lot of calories in them! I’m trying a bit of protein powder for a boost. I figured that I’m not eating enough! Appreciate the advice a lot!! Glad to see my thoughts are on the right track!

Also be careful about watch readings on how much you burn, most of the time it’s not accurate. Agree with the advice on upping your calories and monitor the impact it has on your body. Also agree that 1200 calories for a female is not only incorrect, it is also disheartening that people still believe this, your body needs energy.

are you weighing all your food or eyeballing it? my guess is your not eating in a deficit.

Your body is holding onto the energy due to you not eating enough. It’s in starvation mode. You need to increase calories so that your metabolic rate will increase and your body can be back at it’s set point to function normally which will enable you to burn fat and build muscle. 1600cals is definitely not enough. Consult a dietician who will assist you
