Crazy gain I know! Vacation was great, and although it probably seems like I must have overeaten, I actually didn’t. But there were a few factors that I’m sure caused the gain to be so dramatic.

1) Suddenly stopped intermittent fasting
2) because of the above, late night eating happened almost daily
3) minimal water intake
4) no exercise
5) went immediately from detox to “normal” eating without following the gradual reintroduction to foods
6) no logging of calories

At first I wasn’t going to weigh, because I wanted to give myself a chance to “undo the damage”. But then I thought long and hard about it and decided I wanted to weigh today, to face the reality and to hunker down and get back on track.

I’m back on the detox (Day 1 of 12), increased my water intake and I’ve resumed intermittent fasting and logging my calories. Not worried about this happening again, since the vacation was planned and I knew I would gain. I completely enjoyed it, have no regrets and will just stay focused on the goals ahead of me.

Next goal - 219 (was hoping to achieve this by end of Oct., but now I’m just focused on getting there, without a timeframe - just one day at a time).

End of year goal - ideally 199, but I’m realistic and understand that this is most likely not going to happen by Dec 30, which was my goal date.

Still posting these goals to keep focused and remind myself of where I want to be. Goals will be reassessed towards the end of the year, with realistic expectations for 2021. Until then - just keeping at it and letting the results unfold.
