ruthe1213's Journal, 10 Oct 20

I confirm that all food calories don't react the same way. Yesterday I kept my gross carbs below 30, net grams 25.61, my protein 76.28 grams, fat 39%. Total calories 693 which is about which was 86 calories under 779 target. Today the scale is up. Now I am still pleased that I was able to enjoy my daughter's birthday feast by carefully planning portion sizes and I thoroughly enjoyed and savored every bite of the Kirkland Italian Sausage and Beef Lasagna, Caesar salad with dressing and croutons, and for lunch and my shrimp and Kirkland cheesecake hours later for dinner. It's amazing how satisfying those small portions were. I think I savored it more because I knew my portions were small so I ate slowly. I wasn't tempted to have more largely I think because I have been following my current WOE for over 3 weeks and have gotten over the habit of mindless eating. I am planning to do a 42-hour fast for a week (eat in evening, fast next day eat next day) repeat 3 times. There is a Facebook page 2.0 and extended fasting. So today fast and tomorrow full BMR calories with gross carbs under 30 start then start 42 on Monday.
