I seem to be maintaining just under goal. That's a win but it's not leaving me a lot of wiggle room. I'm planning a couple of getaways in September....the first to celebrate my youngest sister's Birthday in Savannah /Tybee Island.Then home for a couple of days & headed to Door County in Wisconsin with Hubby for several days. So we're talking about 2 weeks of eating & drinking away from home. I don't plan to go crazy but I'd like to be able to indulge a bit. I averaged right at my 1800 calorie limit last week....up from the previous week. I may just have to consciously eat less for a couple of weeks before I go away so I'll be down a couple more lbs....giving myself that wiggle room 😊 I debated whether I should bring the scales when we go to Wisconsin. But, it may be a good idea to not obsess over my weight for a short time.

Made a trip to Kroger yesterday. I was in the mood for a steak dinner, but quickly discovered steak prices were up. Even a Flat Iron steak was pricy for the ones that looked appetizing. I ended up buying Rib Eyes. There were 2 steaks in the pkg. Hubby grilled both but we split one for dinner and saved the other. So....sliced steak for our bagels 😋 Still have a lot left. I baked a big potato & sliced it in half & added light sour cream, butter & bacon bits....broccoli on the side. It satisfied my cravings 😀 I also bought some huge Texas shrimp & some Turkey sausage.

Saturday, Hubby & I bought a small bag of chicken feed for our neighborhood chicken. We were able to feed her some when we went out for our walk, but yesterday we didn't see her.

The Grass B Gone didn't kill the weedy grass in the front yard (it may have rained too soon after I sprayed) so earlier I took some time to pull some up by hand. It comes up easily enough but there is a lot of it! I'll tackle some more later.

I can't believe we're half way into August! This has been some year. I wish I knew what to expect for the rest of it.
