I'm so disappointed in myself. I'm working on my Masters dissertation so I've had so much anxiety lately. I literally stuff my face with anything and I constantly have cravings. Haven't been keeping up with my fasting since I get so hungry. Haven't gone to gym in a month. I guess this weight gain gave me a reality check. If I continue with my old habits, I'll go back to square one and I don't want to go back there.😪

I gained a lot of weight during my masters and PhD dissertations, anxiety, late nights and depression.... It all added up! I know it's so hard, but try not to beat yourself up too much. Do as much as you can when you can to keep yourself healthy. Ask your friends/family for support too, sometimes half a glass of wine and venting to someone can be a good substitute for a panic-attack pizza. 😅

Hi Nqoh...I don’t know what it is about studying that makes one want to eat ...I’m busy with my Bcom atm and last year I picked up so much weight because of the stress of single momming, working full time and this degree. I’ve learned to keep healthy snack options on hand to combat this and it’s been helping me. Little packets of mixed nuts, biltong, plain double cream yoghurt, low carb nougat and smarties, blueberries are just some things that have been saving me from repeating my old habits

I feel your pain. With studying and stress, it's hard to keep away from the goodies! I go into full locust mode. 😑 And you can't fool the feeding by eating gerkins either! It wants chocolate, chips and cake!!! 😣 Part of me wants to say that as soon as studying is over, the diet is back on, but when your pants don't fit anymore.... 🙈

Hey I had a hectic honours year. put on about 10kg. But it was worth it when I got cum laude. Everyone says you have to balance studying and exercise but it's not always possible. Focus on your studies and lose the weight after. That's exactly what I've been doing for the last month and the fat is melting off. p.s 0.9 kg is nothing to stress about. It's basically 1 litre of water. I never go by weight now. Just look in the mirror.
