If you’re weighing, must mean you made it home!!! Yay! Bet you had a late night at that hospital. Eeeeew I hate hospitals and doctors offices and specialists...germ jails! 🤮

Gross- same thought, wifey! It was an ER and trauma center and packed up with illness and all kinds of entertaining stuff. Finally walked in about 10:15 just in time for a quick kiss to the hubby leaving to work 3rd shift. I rarely get sick- I go literally years without so much as a cold- but I'm thinking there is no way that something isn't going to get me. 🤮 is right!

Hope you’ll be ok. Then again maybe the lack of humph for the gym is a virus brewing, lack of energy? Idk just tossing that to you. I hope not. Take good care. Colds are awful. My son is just getting over one, and now my daughter feels like something is coming on since last night, LOL so much for my momma bear tea! 😜 Funny though, it’s no cure but comforting and they’ve wanted it every night this week! 🙃 I better NOT catch it. I’m like you, rarely sick but when it hits me, it hits hard! 😒

That's a nice loss after what sounds like a lousy night at the hospital!

Thanks Fritzy. I can't be excited about the 180's. Same old same old... Thinking I need to move way more or cut back to 1900 calories. Just a guessing game at this point. I've noticed I lift every day but what an I doing otherwise? Not a lot. So time to rethink for a bit. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sorry about kiddos getting sick! And hoping everyone gets better soon! Also hope you have a good rethink. I’ve switched my gym routine up. Still cardio and lifting but switched which exercises I’m doing and am taking Wednesday’s off. It’s been helpful so far. Just throwing out unsolicited food-for-thought

For me cutting calories always sucks lol. Moving more is better if I can find things to do. Housework doesn’t burn many calories :/. Hope the girls are feeling better and that you and D don’t get it!

I don't get sick. D might. Plenty of housework to burn calories in our home. Lol. Thanks Itzy (can't remember new name 😆)

I know you’re hood do. Scale is a brat. I go up and down the same numbers over and over. It’s irritating to see the numbers, except on my pants. Let me explain. I had a favorite pair I haven’t worn in forever and ever. I’m very comfortable in a 10. But my favs were size 8. I’ve been this same weight for weeks and weeks now but said ah, time to try them on today. They were almost too big. Tag means nothing as some 10s fit perfect, others a bit loose, this 8 is almost too big. So I’m thinking. What do I do? I don’t want to ‘get smaller.’ I can’t buy all new clothes. Yet the number 145/146 is not the number I had in my head to stay at. So how do I get the scale to move to whatever number I’d like, don’t even know what that number is, yet stay in my size 8/10s? Sorry rambling...hope someone can tell me what to do? I’m short, barely 5’1 with great posture? 146 is considered overweight for my height but being a ‘normal ‘ weight just sounds good. What should I do???

Wifey...I blame you. I stalked your profile to see how to lose weight and you're burning like 3000+ calories a day but eating about what I eat so I need to do more.

Once upon a time I hit a plateau. I was going to the gym every day doing weights and the elliptical. I started jogging and my weight came down. I got on the treadmill and I did it all slowly. I never went below 4 miles per hour and jogged slowly concentrating on not getting my heart to beat too quick. As time went by I would go a little faster. The very first time I probably jogged a whole 2 minutes! When I couldn't jog, I walked never slower than 4 miles per hour. My goal was 30 minutes. As time went by I went a little quicker sometimes it took weeks before I changed the speed and always on a flat surface never pressing on the incline. It's a great feeling to jog your first mile when you haven't done it in a long time or possibly ever. That would be 15 minutes at 4 miles per hour. Once I got comfortable at it I could do sprints and it is a great feeling to run quickly. At the time I did not lower my calories I just jogged 5 days per week. I kept up with my other workout and after losing the weight I really liked the definition on my abs. I don't think that jogging is good for a person who has a lot of weight because the weight on the knees could be too much but all I can say is that for me it was amazing.

Ireland - I'm going to start running in the spring. I got new running shoes today. I want to just be able to run a few miles but it will be very much as you described starting off. I agree- I don't think it's a great idea to run when really heavy and that's probably why I wasn't great at it. But I think I'll be great at it this time around. (That's what I'm telling myself). Wifey - I'm sure you'll figure it out. 😉😀

DP and Wifey, I would suggest an activity tracker, if you don't already have one, and making sure you get at least 10,000 steps a day, if you already don't do that. And don't discount housework or yard work. I do house cleaning for a living and all that walking back and forth adds up, big time. My step count is always between 30,000 and 35,000 a day! Of course, that's because I do it for a living but housework and yard work can be like another form of a workout and you don't have to even leave the house. Try tracking your steps while you clean, I think you will be amazed how they rack up. And if I want some cardio I run up and down stairs a few times, a few times a day, another workout you can easily slip in at home and takes little time to do. Normally every time I go up the flight of stairs at my house, to do something, I will go up and down three times before I go do the task I was originally going to do, it makes a good little leg work out and takes less that 2 minutes to do. Another thing I do for extra activity is to clean during commercials when I am watching TV, you would be surprised how much you can get done in that 4 to 8 mins. Plus, you are being active every 15 to 20 mins, every time the commercials come on. Adding extra activity doesn't have to be a huge time suck. I know we are all super busy people with all the demands in life. Hope this helps someone out, even a little bit

Thanks,Imh2882. I definitely don't move enough at work. And I'm sitting too much at home. Cleaning houses would burn some serious calories.

lmh2882, some good ideas there to keep moving! Thanks! Princess, I got in 4 times to the gym this week like I told you I was goign to. I know that is nothing for you, but... It was a victory for me. I seriously made it one day ONLY because I had told you I was going 4 times. 😁 It is sooo much easier for me to move more when the weather is nice and I can be outside comfortably. I can't wait for spring!
