August 1st measurements and progress report:
Did not meet goal to be under 200, but this is the lowest I have been in about 6 years. Down 7.2# since July 1. In some 12's and some 14's. Size 16's are out if the question. Lifted heavy for an average of 55 minutes for 27 out of 31 days. Leg day takes about 1hr 20 min, but I rest more between sets so it averages out.
Measurements for stomach (across navel), hips, calf, and bicep all stayed the same. Lost 1/4" from bust,- what else is new, right? LOL- 3/4" from thigh, and 1/4" from smallest part of my waist. I am disappointed that I don't have more inches lost. It becomes very difficult to measure when there is loose skin. I don't know if anyone else has this problem and sorry if it is gross but I have to make little notes about how tightly I pulled the measuring tape to be as accurate as possible. It sucks to measure flab because it isn't a hard surface. Averaged 1873 daily calories- some days eating a ton and other days very little to balance it. NSV- I chose a 1x for the dress for the wedding and it was way too big, chose a regular XL and still too big- needed a regular L. Also- saw a the faintest stream of light between my thighs and couldn't believe they weren't touching (and overlapping for that matter). Goal for September 1st is 195. Don't know why I made my goal for August to lose only 5 pounds- probably figured it would slow down and didn't want to set myself up for failure. All I know is that once I am under 198 pounds, it will be the lowest I have been since 2004. Thanks for your support. I didn't think it would matter so much- not being private on FS- and I don't do it because I'm afraid of letting you down- I noticed that I am sticking with it because of my own pride and I don't want to look stupid for failing in front of everyone. Whatever works- right? Because I can tell you this- 4 days off from the gym to escape to the mountains and I could barely bring myself to go back to the gym. I thought I would have missed it more. Whoa- was I wrong. Old me would have said "f*ck it- I'll start back in January"- and then gain back all that I lost. OK- I'm just rambling now. Have a great day!

Being less than one pound over 200 may not officially count as meeting your goal, but it's damn good! Getting right back on the program after vacation is a big NSV. You have so much to be proud of this year, and yes, there may be some loose skin, but a size Large! I'm putting my money on your reaching 195 by September; you're just a whisper away from Onederland! 🌟🌟🌟

Awesome goals! Outstanding dedication 😉 don’t forget to use scrub every 2-3 days and a body lotion daily, to help with elasticity. If you can, get yourself the BHA lotion from Paula’s Choice. It’s a bit pricey but you can catch offers often. It’s really amazing, one of the best and I am a serial tester!

The scale is at the top of everyone’s monitor system, but it’s one of the worst measures. Congrats on living well and taking care of you!

So proud of you! The bust always goes first doesn’t it?? Grr. I’m sure you already know but you are gaining muscle and losing fat therefore the tape won’t show as much of a change as if you were just dieting and losing muscle too. The fact that you have seen some smaller measurements shows you are going in the right direction. (Also, good job on writing a ‘story’ hehe. Loving it!) you’ll be below 200 before you know it. And it does slow down from time to time. A 14&12! And a large! That’s just awesome!

You had me at loose skin lol. I’m the Queen of it lol. Little nip and tuck took care if my belly skin. Working out 4 days a week will even out the rest. Your accomplishments are amazing. You and your hubby are such a beautiful pair and totally rocking it!!!! Keep up the great work DP!!!!

Yay, awesome progress! Yes, this site has really helped me as well. The prospect of failing publically is a great motivator. I'm proud of you, princess!

Thanks to all of you! Sorry for my late response. Work sucks and you know how it is before and after a vacation- you have to work twice as hard. Anyhow- thanks again. And thanks, Becc@. You're very sweet! ❤ Swedish- as tempting as it is- and even more so when I get to a normal weight- I am quite sure I would die during a surgery and I can't do it. I know that sounds nuts. And Velvetee- you don't have an ounce of fat or loose skin on you- That made me smile. But I'll give it a whirl. Reading people's (stranger's) comments- who would have thought it could be so motivating? Feeling so blessed. And very tired. Good night. Hoping for 199 tomorrow. 😊😘💗
