What an awesome journey. I fell ill with my thyroid beginning of 2018. The end result was that I had to have my thyroid removed via radiated iodine. I was told that I will have to go on a low calorie diet for the rest of my life. What a shocker it was at first. Mean counting, weighing, taking everything I put in my mouth into consideration. It sure was difficult in the beginning, but perseverance and seeing the kilos drop and knowing that it is a lifestyle change, kept me going. It got easier and I am now comfortable with my diet. I do incorporate the foods I love, but in modiration and actually enjoy it more now, and I appreciate every bite. The good news is that I also no longer suffer from heartburn or indigestion plus my blood pressure is maintained. I love the new me. Whis I could place a before and pic in order to inspire others not to give up.
