My friend, who is also trying to diet & can't stick to it, is constantly trying to sabotage my diet by buying chocolate & cake. I keep thinking that I'll be determined to not succumb to the temptation, but I always do. I keep telling her that I'm dieting & she just laughs. I can't avoid her as we share a car. How do I strengthen my willpower?

start seeing her for what she is, definitely not your friend.

maybe try talk to her so she can really understand or take the food and give it to a begger or homeless person they will appreciate it more than you know do it in front of her at a robot if she asked why tell her the truth nothing worse than having to lie or spin stories about why or how do it. its in your benefit at the end and hers health is important

I use to accept all snacks and treats .The difference though is I take it home and put it in my freezer for having after I have reached my goal. Just a game I played to keep me on track.This to meant I can accept a chocolate but can only have it once my scale allows me to. After 3 months I discarded and/or offered to willing recipients. Accept treats and stick to your plan. Explain why you won't have it now but will enjoy later. This is about you and your own accountability....be strong!
