davidsprincess's Journal, 01 Mar 23

Thankful for a new month. Wasted all of February. 5 pounds away from my FEBRUARY 1 goal and now it is March. Made it to the gym only 14 times. Overate MANY days. These are the kinda posts that I used to read and roll my eyes at. Now here I am. Just being transparent. I do not want to live my life over 200 pounds- but I don't seem to remember that at the time I want to eat. How much is jaw wiring? Happy March! Almost spring. Almost yard work and planting flowers.
101.7 kg Lost so far: 11.2 kg.    Still to go: 11.1 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I have to forget yesterday. Today, Day 1 Each day, remember you’re getting control back. To give up trying means embracing being overweight and succumbing to getting bigger. You know you won’t be happy but tormented to accept defeat. Only way to be a loser in the battle is to quit trying. Start over… Until you are counting 3 days then… remember the worst is behind. Getting started… we feel your frustration.

3 weeks with trainer and 4-5 days in gym; more or less back to pre hip issue routines. Cut out booze and being mindful of what I eat (tracking still poor), drinking lots of water, less coffee yada yada. I’ve GAINED 5 lb. No it’s not muscle for effs sake. Water retention? Maybe a lil but I added cardio and began burning 300-500 more cals daily than past 4 months. Hormones are fine, not even pre menopausal apparently. Can’t sleep though, doc said I need to figure that out. So over this. Buuuuutt. We gotta keep going.

That sucks, swedish. I imagine it will have to right itself soon- but hard to keep going when you are giving it your all like that. Yes- we will keep going!

Try to forgive yourself. March is a new month and a new chance to make progress. Best of luck to you!

The foods —I used to— most over-feed upon were highly-processed foods that, even if they weren’t sweet and had no added sugars, were foods that were loaded with engineered factory fats. I’m talking about industrial seed “vegetable” oils: “canola” (rapeseed) oil, cottonseed oil, corn oil, grapeseed oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, sesame oil, palm kernel oil, & peanut oil. These seed oils act on your endocannabinoid receptors, suppress satiety, and can give you a case of the munchies! There are great profits to be made in food, and seed oils are insidious, and hidden in so many grocery store foods (especially bottled salad dressings). Seed oils are virtually impossible to avoid at most every class of restaurant from fast food to diners, to bistros, to fine dining, from american fare to international cuisine. The linoleic acid in seed oils accumulates in your system for over 400 days, and is a clear pathway to poor metabolic health.

I haven't logged on here for a few years, but read your post this morning. (I still have an account and get the emails). Well being is a journey, we will be better at things some months than others and it is more than just physical. What are some things that you are proud of that you did last month? I am proud of you for being consistent with your workouts - you worked out 1/2 of the month! Maybe in March that can be 60% - or maybe you eat within your target 50% instead of February. What will you focus on? We also need to live life and do things that bring us joy, maybe there is some of that you can add in to your self care plan? Love you girl - you have been on here for a long time, so I know you are committed to your well being XOXO Rochelle
