I saw the difference when I switched over to long walks. Try for 5 km fast daily walks rather. My legs slimmed down considerably.

The other secret is to walk on weekends, when we tend to indulge a little more😁

Running would not increase your muscle mass since it's cardio. Check if it's your hormones aka your period. Cardio is the main fat killer.
Also check what you eat on the weekends. It might be countering your work during the week

I did 6km in 30min. I think moderate running would not increase muscle mass, i used to do 5km in 45min and my thighs were fine. The 6km in 30min definitely did something to my thighs. My diet did not change, everything else stayed the same, the only thing i changed was my workout routine … let’s see if the walk and the break would fix this.

Hi there. Your muscles can’t increase in size over a period of a month. Your diet needs to be on point too to see good results over time. Don’t give up!

Like others said running actually does the opposite that’s why you limit running if you want to maintain muscle or compensate by doing a lot of weight lifting and strength training. Please check with a doctor, hormones etc. Have you excluded pregnancy? Are you sure you didn’t increase calories because you were compensating with the runs?

Thanks all. I haven’t been working out for two weeks and i am starting to lose the muscle mass. I have done road running and treadmill before but i never gained muscle, so what you guys are saying sounds right. No i am not preggies…
It could be the carbs. i have changed my macros. I used to take 20-50g of carbs daily now i am not limiting carbs i am counting calories. Could be the cause, but i am glad i am getting back to my normal self.
