I prefer color myself lol white too bland for me 

Nothing wrong with either. I alternate what I do. Not planned, just what I'm feeling from year to year. This year will be white cafe lights with colored fairy lights on top, I think. I am glad to know that the only thing I need to do to pull myself from the ditch of tackiness is to put up white lights. 🤣🤣🤣 

LOL- Kat! vcabral- I just can't do themes for trees. They are so beautiful in other people's homes but I like to have every single ornament ever given to me and the memories of each one on my tree... with the uglies in back facing the window. 😆 

Love it!!!! And we are going HOME to my home and native land for Christmas. Can’t wait!!!!!!

My pre lit LED tree has a foot switch to change from color to white, static or blinking. DH like color and I like white so who ever gets up first to turn them on dictates that day's choice. Less arguments. 😁 

Yes I’ll be home. ☺️☺️ All four of us are flying. Mom and dad are so excited. We’ve only had one Christmas with them when our daughter wasn’t even one, her first Christmas 1999. Distance and weather have always been issues and cost. 🤪 So this year we are going, stuff it 2020! 🤨 

Colored lights for me. I love other people's beautiful trees, but mine too is mostly about memories. The homemade and tacky must be enjoyed! 😁 Even if they don't all go up, we get to look through them and decide. I can't wait!!! We have a real tree, so we have to wait a bit so it isn't too terrible a fire hazard by January! 

I like white lights but I use ALL the ornaments. I put up 3 trees....the big one in my dining room & 2 smaller Alpine trees. Sometimes I split the Alpine trees & sometimes they get clustered in the living room corner. The handmade, memorabilia, kids ornaments usually go on them. My big tree has a kind of vintage look to it when I'm done decorating it. 

Wifey, I'm so happy for you, you're going to be Home with your family for Christmas!  

Rosie- That sounds perfect! I always have prelit but the lights started going out 2 years ago and it worsened. Finally I bought a new tree and I will add my own lights. Took me 2 hours to fluff the branches but it got really great reviews and I can see why. Sherry- I love your decor! Melissa- I bet it is lovely!

Husband and I just discussed whether we are putting our big tree up or not this year...decided not to but will always put up our little one that I decorate with my kids' hand made ornaments they made over the years and now the grandkids treasures. "kids" are 35 and 28, grands are 11 and 12, so these homemade ones are well loved but still hanging in there. Most are made of regular construction paper, some pinecones, clothespins, etc...One in particular has a school pic of daughter attached to it from the year she cut her own hair. So many memories 💗

Colorful lights are beautiful I have a little fiber-optic tree I'm putting up this year that changes colors so pretty and a wreath in my window  

Rckc, half the enjoyment of decorating each year is reminiscing over where I found a certain decoration or who gave it to me....including all the handmade ones. It warms my heart ❤ DP, I'm already trying to think of places to put more lights! I love to turn them all on & enjoy them for the day. At night it feels magical to sit in the glow of the lights....with a fire in the fireplace....and a festive drink in my hand 😊🍸
