Monja1977's Journal, 16 Oct 19

2016 I started with a whopping 130.4kg... I have lost 50kg but slowly gained 30kg again. I am sooo upset that this happened but once again I realize that I am human and that I lOVE food! Also I lost it with weight watchers and now that they not here anymore I really am battling.
I am trying to loose this weight by myself and I am no struggling almost for a year. I am always thinking that tomorrow I will start ! But this tomorrow does not come! I am so over this and I am putting my food down.

this is the beginning of a new journey .... the journey of how I can be disciplined enough to do this on my own. Well probably not on my own but I am going to face the truth and conquer my demons!!!

Let’s do this!!!

Monja, it can be done. If I can share some tips THAT WORKED for me: - every time you are tempted to snake have a good sip of water (or water with a few drops of fresh lemon). - DON'T BUY what you want to eat - ALLOW yourself ONE cheat a week. Mine is on a Saturday as I KNOW I was good the previous week. If I heated, no Saturday cheat. - SHARE your journey with someone you can trust to be firm. Make them privvy to everything. Remember the yourney starts with a steps. Above all, love yourself. Dave

Remember its all about making healthy food choices and not starving yourself to loose weight. You can have a plate full of food with less kj than 3 blocks of chocolate.

Hi Monja, I feel you... it is starting that is hard, the first weeks that are challenging and we know it is adjusting the mind that is hard, because it is up against emotions... and we all know how often we loose to emotions... but with every win you get stronger and in more in control ... In the beginning of this weight loss Journey I needed help, I needed someone to hold my hand and keep me accountable, until I finally could see the picture of what I wanted to achieve clearly and then I could walk the rest of this journey on my own, which I am doing now... I am so grateful for what I have learnt from the beginning to now and I still continue to learn. The idea is to keep your eye on the prize... you can do it, be honest with where you at and it is different for everyone, if you need the help to kick start your journey, get it... but do what you have to get where you need to be... all best 💪🏽👊🏼

Good going on the positive attitude. I am also fighting the kilos I gained after a laps. So I know the feeling.

I feel you. We always get this burst of energy, lose tons of weight and then watch it pile back on. I think maybe because most of us do it in the wrong ways and for the wrong reasons. I now just live a good life, live active and eat what i enjoy without over eating. It;'s the only way i have managed to keep the weight off. 10kg a year is far better than 20 and regaining 25. Good luck on this journey, do it for the right reasons.

Thx for reminding me of the importance of support like you guys. I'm in the same boat with having lost and just picking it up again. I am now determined not to just loose the weight but change my lifestyle and EXCERCISE disciplined not just when I feel guilty. All of the best to everyone. We all have our own story but one goal.
