On a mission to increase my protein intake so that I can tone my body and gain a bit more muscle. I find that I still consume more carbs and fats despite my efforts and I'm getting tired of eating the same things over and over again. Any suggestions on high protein foods that I can incorporate into my diet? (vegetarian)

Do you know how much protein you need for your diet? At 64kg, an average estimate is that you need about 52 grams to maintain and you double it for "optimal protein" as a quick rule of thumb. (Using 0.8 grams of protein required per kg.) I was shocked at how little protein I actually needed per day, but as a vegetarian you still need to look at what you are eating. Easiest is double cream youghart, chia seeds, cottage cheese, cheese, peanuts and peanut butter. Get creative a have a slice of peanut butter cheese cake... :) Eggs, hummus, spinach, peas, beans, lentils, pumpkin seeds, almonds, cashews, quinoa, milk... The only limitation is your imagination and what you do with your ingredients. Banana almond milkshakes with double cream yoghurt is what I use when I need a boost. Peanut butter cheese cake is not a treat but a protein boost for me. ;) Good luck because you can make it easy for yourself with a little thought and pre-planning! :)
