My dear sweet husband has been living on smoothies since a minor oral surgery Friday. Tonight, he graduated to cheese soup: cauliflower, raw cashews, cannelini beans and sharp cheddar. More cheese than usual for us, but I'm trying to get calories in him

Weighing in a day early. Struggling with motivation, not eating as well as I should, and want to eat rather than accomplish anything. Recognition is the first step to solving, though. Time to force myself to do healthy things until I want to do healthy things. Fake it 'til you make it.
My poor husband is recovering from a minor oral surgery. I'm feeding him chocolate smoothies -- milk, avocado, banana, protein powder, PB powder and cocoa. There are worse things he could be living on, and he should be back to normal in a few days. Will be washing out the blender a lot, though.
Been trying to help a family member out with providing nutrition information and encouragement. He has obesity, diabetes, knee problems, and he just texted my husband that he has a blocked artery. They've never really paid attention to reading labels, etc., and he has a history of yo-yo dieting. His wife says he's really getting serious this time, and I can only hope he does it in a sustainable, healthy way.

First mountain bike of the season. I haven't been on the bike much since I had that crash a year and a half ago, so I was a bit rusty. It's coming back, though. Wow, am I tired!

Got back from vacation no heavier than I left, which I'll take. Granted, vacation was camping and hiking in the desert.
I fail to understand why people feel the need to leave "yuk" comments of various levels of rudeness on people's food posts. I know a lot of people don't like the tofu I eat and post, but likewise, a lot of the keto and carnivore posts turn my stomach a bit. I scroll past, keep doing what works for me, and move on with my life. I feel no need to yuk on their yum. I came back from vacation to a comment with about a hundred vomiting emojis. Not upset about it, but not what I wanted to come back to. Pretty much just rolled my eyes and deleted it. Fortunately, it's rare.
