Christinemeowk's Journal, 20 Apr 16

My butthead cats woke me up around 4 o'clock this morning and I haven't been able to get back to sleep, so I decided to go ahead and throw a roast in the crockpot. It should be ready about 30 minutes before my fast is up. I'm already hungry like the wolf. Smelling my meat cook all day is gonna be rough! Lol I need to go back to sleep pronto!

Crockpots do make us master chefs! Lol. Things aren't so bad since you can always take a catnap.

Funny how 4:00am is the Universal "let's be buttheads now" time for all cats. Our two also become buttheads at 4:00am.

Personal opinion you should not allow yourself to get to the point where you're starvin like Marvin I think there is more of a tendency to over eat then because we want to fill up quickly boiled eggs maybe a handful of some type of nuts almonds or pistachios help kill some of that hunger course that good old standby a glass of water your sleep is really important maybe from now on Kick the cat out like we used to do with the Flintstones

I got up and went to LA Fitness. Yesterday, I went to 99 Cent store, and bought all kinds of weird stuff, like seaweed, pumpkins seeds, mackerel, smoked oysters, and almonds. The pumpkin seeds and are tasty, and are much less calories than sunflower seeds.

It's a good thing they're cute, HBC. Lol

Blkbear, I'm on day four doing intermittent fasting with my Atkins, so eating sooner is not an option. I carefully plan out and log everything for the day before anything goes into my mouth, so overeating is not a problem.

I love pumpkin seeds, Warren! Nice pickup.

All my cooking for the day is done with. I made the tastiest mashed cauliflower and have 4 servings portioned up in the fridge ready to go. I love getting ahead of the food game!

OMG! Two of my 3 cats are buttheads at 4 AM too! The other one is too old to be that bad. I'm having to take a nap every afternoon.

Haha they're the worst! I always have a bowl of dry food and water out, but my Mowgli is a picky jerk. He starts freaking out demanding wet canned food around 4. He runs back and forth with the loudest most annoying meow ever, along with knocking things down from everywhere. Then there's my Simba... he puts his paw in the water and splashes it everywhere and licks the water off his paw to drink it. Then the water is gross or empty so he comes up to the bed and either claws the mattress to get my attention, or gets on the bed and bobs my face with his nasty wet paw. Ugh! My other girl cats are chill... it's the two boys that make me crazy!

Yep, it's the boys in this house that create the problems! Mine want to go out. Then they want to come in. Then they want to go out. Rattle the vertical shades and whine (yes, whine and make sharp cries) to go out, vigorously claw up the screen (it's a harp!) to come in. You can never ignore a cat - sounds like yours are pros at getting what they want!

I agree! Really good thing cats are so cute because they really have no respect for our space or need for rest. Sounds like you are doing great on your diet plan!

Omg trackin64 yes, they are ridiculous! There once was a time I could just sqirt them with water and they'd get the message. Now they'll be soaked and come back two seconds later and start their bs again. And of course my mister sleeps through it so I have to deal with it every time!

So true FloridaAngel, if my boys weren't so cute and sweet during the day I don't think I'd put up with it. Annnnnnd thanks! I'm certainly trying to get my stuffs together

Even our sweet kitties in the past were head-butting buttheads at 4am! And then they'd have the unmitigated GALL to take a long leisurely nap in the afternoon to rest up for the next morning's assault.

On a funny note, did they wake you up at 4:20am (for national 4/20 day) ?

4 a.m. ...sounds like their organized!! After a particularly rough night, I make it my duty to wake them, pat their bellies, ruffle the fur etc. all day long. I guess I am delusional in thinking if I can get them tired, maybe well all sleep better tonight!

LOL I do that sometimes too, but mainly to show then how crap it is to be woken from a good sleep.
