Ok so I just went to the view my diet calender section on my profile and noticed all but two of the entries have an asterisk beside the calories burned number. Does anyone know what the asterisk is for? It's got me puzzled. Curious kitteh is curious 🐈 lol

I believe it's the exercise log.... If you log your exercise/activity, it puts a star beside it. If you don't have an entry for that day, there is no star. I hope this helps.

Asterisks are the difference between clicking a button saying "This is all my exercise" or "This is what I ate" otherwise it will say this is some of my exercise or some of my food. To complete the entry. you click the button and the asterisk goes away!

Yes Christine HCB is 100% correct....here is some more info that you might find useful. With food the default is "this is some of what I ate". When you click on "this is exactly what I ate" the asterisk will disappear on your food diary listing. Both the food log and exercise log are designed to calculate calorie deficits or surpluses based on intake calories (food) and calories expended (activity), the calculations also incorporatie your chosen Recomended Daily Intake (RDI). If you haven't set your RDI yet I would suggest using sedentary and only logging real exercise, the Site is very optimistic on calories used and using the more conservative sedentary will help you not ever estimate calories used... Check out other people's food and activity diaries, there is no right way to do it although research has shown that accurate logging improves both weight loss and sustainability.

I'm super accurate logging my food. I usually use the tracker to figure out and log my meals before stepping into the kitchen, and change it if plans change at all while preparing my meal. I decided to have chili a couple days back and tweaked it like crazy before I actually cooked. I began only making one portion and then decided to double it and have chili for dinner too. Then I swapped onion and garlic powder for the real thing... had to change all the amounts of other spices for a double batch, added other things. Lol my food tracker is often a recipe decider. Since I make my own as I go. I think it's better to know what my counts are before food goes in my belly so there are no "oh no" moments after which I see often from people. If I don't know the breakdown of a food, it's not going in my mouth... especially since I'm low carbing it. That's the only way I can lose weight. Shit... I'm the type of person that smells cookies and gains a pound. Lol I have to be super vigilant.
