Yard work zen 🧘. Where most of my functional fitness goes these days among other tasks. Lots of leaf 🍁 and pine needles to pick up but we’re making headway one little square yard at a time 😁

Yeah, I still keep up with all my workouts in the gym as well. I’ve learned my lesson watching my mother go through all these joints surgeries how important it is to build up the muscles and mobility that support the other muscles we use when we do this kind of stuff because it can and will wear joints down after many years. I always tell mama “I can do all these things because I workout, not the other way around”. But, I try to be compassionate too, it’s not like pre-hab or exercises or workouts that help facilitate functional activities were around in her gen or even a thought for that matter. A lot of joints and arthritis might have been spared I tell ya!

Yard work is highly underrated. I can get just as many steps and burn as many calories as in the gym...

We got a new older boat. Sanding, staining, recovering, replacements etc are in our future! Sanding alone will build those muscles! 💜
