davidsprincess's Journal, 30 Dec 23

Well- there it is.🙈 I didn't want to post it even though I weigh daily but as always I think- why would I be on a calorie counting site to get healthy if I am too embarrassed to post. I don't know these people. So- paying some bills online and going to the gym- then going to the grocery store now that I have eaten every unhealthy thing in the house to get some decent options. My back hurts, my knee hurts, my ankles hurt from trying to support so much weight again. My clothes don't fit. I'm down to 2 pairs of jeans that I had to buy and neither is flattering. I am living in oversized sweatshirts (which actually has always been my style so that's a bit dramatic to write.🙂) I'm winded going up the steps. My skin looks worse (I think- not sure). Only beach towels fit around me when I get out of the shower. I could go on and on- but like I said- I have to get to the gym. Mostly I am just embarrassed. Embarrassed of posting on here, embarrassed of running into people I haven't seen in awhile, embarrassed to go to the gym and be the fat girl who is just in the way. But I am also hopeful. I expect to lose 4-5 pounds overnight as my body goes into shock from not having 3-4K calories today and then it will slow and the real test will begin. So... Yep- that's me. I should update my profile pic but why punish myself further. Wish me luck. ❤️, Sara. No H.

there are so many times i gey frustrated, i keep reminding myself i didnt gain this weight over night, i cannot expect to lose it over night. Keep treking the journey is about living your life for the better and you will get there! My husband says we got this weight by being too comfortable so we need to kick our (fat) asses into gear and get ourselves healthy! GL!!

Sara, with no H, don't be embarrassed. We've all been there. That's why we are here! That said, I'm so embarrassed about what my scales say that I don't share my profile! I'm down 11 lbs since downloading this app 2 1/2 weeks ago, and almost 40 lbs this year, but I have a long way to go. I'm not sharing my profile until the scales look friendlier, so I totally understand. Just be determined and use the app for everything! And just so you know, I totally love reading your writing style!

No need for embarrassment, I have been on this website since 2014 with ups and downs, really working on a new plan to get weight off. Doing my own analysis as well . My goal is to be at maintenance before some people retire from this website!! Happy Newyear 2024

This is so relatable!! I lost 60 pounds after I had my son, and for the first time in my life, I was actually skinny. Like almost flat stomach skinny, I could wear crop tops, it was insane. Then I gained most of it back. I started losing weight again for my wedding this may, and as soon as I could start seeing results, I’ve binged for a month. Now I’m back to where I started. I have three months left to lose weight, and I bought a really formfitting dress. Seriously it shows every roll, dimple, and wrinkle. A year ago I would have been proud to wear it.

I think it’s great you are going to the gym! Don’t be embarrassed, the gym should be your safe haven. I WO at home, but am ready to join a gym this summer. I’m ready to go heavier and don’t want to have to buy and store the equipment! (Apt living) Building muscle is a great tool to help burn calories. You’ve lost before, you can do it again! 👍🏻 I feel like my “trick” is to eat things I still really like, but make me feel satisfied & full. Nutrient rich foods. I make my own “healthier” version desserts so I don’t feel deprived. I feel fortunate my mom exposed me to so many different foods at a young age, so my palette is wide. Maybe try and touch base with your why? Mine are my grandkids so I can be more active with them. Healthier so my daughters can have a more active mom and not a sickly mom. Ya know? I’m rooting for you!

My shirts and pants are a tad more snug then they were a couple of weeks ago too. Most of us probably went "off plan" a bit recently. No need to be embarrassed. We all have our bad habits and our good ones. We are stronger when we can post both the ups and downs of our journey. It let's others know they are not alone ;)

Sara is a special name to me because of certain relatives and a cat. I know this is frustrating but I also believe in you. No one at the gym is worrying nearly as much about you as they are about themselves. You got this. From Cindy with 2 Hs

Thanks, everyone. Made it to the gym. Went for a walk. Ate fruit and veggies and whole wheat bread. First day in ages without chocolate or fast food. Day 1 in the books.

Being healthy should always our goal, not losing weight. You are very much on your way with Day 1 already in the books. So now you can keep the momentum going and continue to experience the joy as you become healthier. 😎🤩
