erikahollister's Journal, 25 Oct 23

It's been a stressful month with warring tenants, lots of yard work, my husband's ill health. But I've managed to lose a little weight so that's something to be grateful for. I'm keeping my head above water and sticking to my WOE. Grateful for my own steady health improvements, and for the beautiful fall weather. My husband is over his scary infection and I've almost got the yards ready for winter. Today I'm going to plant two trees and a bush in the former huge veggie garden that I no longer want to tend so intensively. Have a wonderful second half of your week y'all!

Erika, that's fun too, taking something old and worn and making it into something bright and beautiful. Hubby had started a little handyman business, now he is remodeling old kitchens and building cabinets from scratch....that in just a few short months, he has folks lining up for facelifts on their homes right now and he does a great job. The kitchen he is doing right now was so cramped, dark and cluttered, it looks fantastic now, tore out a wall added some space and light! It's amazing to see the transformations

Deb, I wish he was near me, my kitchen could use a little TLC.

Mine too!! But he's working 6 days a week and is so tired when he's home, our's keeps getting put off. I'm now tracking his intake too and I have found he is not eating nearly enough protein for the work-load he is carrying. I see making venison jerky in my future. He's 64, 5'11", 175 lbs and he is eating about 50g of protein per day when he should be around 189g. We are working on it!
