Fiberoptic's Journal, 05 Dec 22

Hibernation . Bears and other mammals usually shy away from the crudities of winter (snowfall, rain, low temperatures, little food) entering caves or burrows away from the impact of the elements. There they slow down their metabolisms and subsist with a minimum of energy consumption, sustained by lipid reserves previously built.

Finally an explanation as to my slowed metabolism a year ago. Thankfully I managed to reset it and am confident that I will achieve my goal(s) this time around.

Our bodies regulate everything from temperature, ph balance, glucose and immunities. These are just a few other examples of homeostasis.

Far too often I see some people abusing their bodies and doing irreparable damage. While I ate sensibly , I can only imagine what it could do to others who virtually starve themselves. Health is far more valuable than losing a few pounds temporarily. Losing weight permanently is about change and good choices.

An experience becomes a valuable lesson, but only a wise person learns from it. It is a very meaningful journal. 👍
