You look great! your meal had a wonderful life. I usually don't like thinking about where my protein comes from, but given the option, venison comes from the best possible source. He was living free doing its deer thing rather than being in a feed lot. Most of us eat meat. I'm glad your meat was happy!

melissatwa I have to say I love your comment and perspective on this!! hunting is such a polarized topic but the one thing that always bugs me is when some completely against it yet has no problem going to the store and buying meat that was raised in poor conditions for slaughter by someone else.

Melissa did sum it up perfectly. God provided these sources of food. I grew up around hunters my whole life. Best, healthiest meat around. Hormone/drug free!! Great one 66!!

I miss my game meats. I especially live elk! Unfortunately my husband didn't get a tag this year ..he wasn't happy!

If you eat ANY meat at all, every once in a while a person should harvest and process their own. So hypocritical to complain about hunting and then throwing away half a steak because their tummy was full.
