Today I should've weighed 200 pounds. I put reminders in my phone and then just feel disgusted. Not sure I'll ever get the hang of this eating in moderation. 😐🍕🍟🌭🌮🍰🧁🥧🍫🍨🥤

I just recorded a journal entry about struggling with moderation. You are not alone!! I do pretty well losing weight, but once I have to eat like a normal human being, my will power goes out the window and I balloon back to where I started. I'm not being a defeatist as I'm back trying to learn from my past patterns and move forward to a healthier me. Everyday is a new chance to make better decisions than yesterday---so don't let yesterday's decisions stop you from making good decisions today. Forgive yourself, love yourself, encourage yourself today and everyday thereafter, beautiful lady.

I have learned that focusing on a particular deadline or event does not help me achieve my goals with weight loss. Visualizing or focusing on your goal can sabotage your efforts by making the subconscious part of your brain think you have already achieved it (according to a study). For, me, having a deadline gives me a chance to procrastinate. I am successful when I focus on what I need to do TODAY and on not letting my past self down - past me worked too hard for present me to let her down.

Everyone loves you whether you are there on weight or not...that is more precious than anything. Love yourself, too. It will happen. I have been through the same feelings a few times, too.

Thanks everyone! I just had a chance to read your comments while I ate two peanut butter cookies. So I guess Tom Long and I have something in common. 😆

The problem with your theory about loving food so much, is that you loved food in 2019. But if you go back and look at where you were then, you were on top of the mountain. And you were really loving yourself. No talk of self-disgust then. We know that success is a mind game, in any area of life. I don't think the problem is in your taste buds, I think it's in your head. And, I know that you are smart enough to figure out what that problem really is. Perhaps, if you go back and read some of your journal entries from when you were on top of that mountain, you might find some clues. 💜💛💚
