ImalittleLESSfluffyNOW's Journal, 18 Jul 22

One thing I've leaned: A 1/3 Cup of strawberry cobbler is just under 200 calories (So now I measure everything). Before FS, I would have eaten and entire bowl and maybe went back for a little more. So, It's ok to eat sweets from time to time.

I think awareness is the largest benefit of logging our meals.

Yum!! Yes it's true about measuring things & how important it is. Just for "fun" I try to guess how much things are, then measure them. I'm so off it's frightening! lol

Get a cheap digital scale, measuring cups can be pretty far from accurate.

#Diablo, I do have a digital scale and use it for many things. I cook measuring my ingredients by cup, spoons and percentage of these measures so when done, I divide the total calories by the number of servings. Weighing this cobbler wouldn't do me any good.

I deleted my comment because I replied to the wrong post. Looks delicious! I have never tried strawberry cobbler before. I think I might try it soon, though.

I never tried this pie. It is something like charlotte, but apples are replaced by strawberries ?

#bambri,. It a lazy cobbler which is simply 1 Cup self rising flour, 1 stick butter, 1 Cup milk, 1 Cup sugar (I used 3/4 cup), 1 egg (mix all and pour into a greased casserole dish) then in the center add any fruit with syrup - I diced up strawberries the day before and added 1/4 cup sugar for this one. - Bake 350 until crust has a nice brown (approximately 45 minutes). Other options: Peach, Cherry, Blackberry, and even Blueberry. The canned fruits with syrups work just fine.
