Got sent some free sachets of Moma porridge. I usually steer clear of sachets because of added sugar, but thankfully the ingredients this are just oats and seeds. Unlikely to buy it in the future though since it’s 4 times the price of porridge oats!

I know what you mean. We keep our oats in a jar and have a scoop in there to make the portion size right. Soooo much cheaper than sachets

A scoop is a great idea, I usually faff about weighing it out. I did once have a tupperware for the microwave where I drew a line on where a portion of oats came to and another line for when I'd added the milk. That was so handy!

I use scoops for everything. I keep the scoops from the tubs of protein powder and re-use them for everything scoopable.

hi Janus Woman, I have noticed how expensive healthy things are. and sugar and chocolate, cakes and sweets are so much cheaper. it's all wrong. Still we all do our best. all the very best. Merry Mel 🤩.

I know what you mean, Merry Mel, it is definitely easy to find cheaper foods that are really calorie dense and low in nutritional value. It’s the processed food market that has really swamped our shops. Thankfully my mum and grandma never used processed food, always bought fresh seasonal veg and cupboard staples so I can cook healthy and in budget.
