I’ve seen it done on a few YouTube channels and they swear by it. Where to get it done though? If you find out, let me know 😄

Could you perhaps also let me know. I am close to "normal" BMI according to the std formula, and I don't think it's awful, but I don't want to forever have a Mommy-Tummy. I've been working so hard at exercise and toning, and plan on giving it until at least end of the yearish before I make a decision, but I'm definitely interested. Apparently you can do it at Skin Renewal/Body renewal clinics (they are a franchise so if you Google you should find one close to you), but not sure I want to use them

Do you perhaps have an opinion on coolsculpting vs cavitation? FGS?

do you consume much alcohol? coz that could be the culprit. try drinking on alternative weekends only and see if that helps at all :)

@Waistaway, Cavitation 😯 never heard of it. I will have to do some research on that. I’ve only seen cool sculpting/ fat freezing testimonials/ tutorials. From my understanding. It helps get rid of fat over a few sessions. When the fat cells die through extreme cold temperatures. I did some Googling and saw there are many around the country. Here are two links. One for the branches and the other frequently asked questions. https://www.bodyrenewal.co.za/sections/branches https://www.bodyrenewal.co.za/cryolipo-fat-freezing I’m sure you can find other places. Best to do your own research. Maybe Michaelnell has a better option through his trainer.

I’ve read a bit on it and looked at before and after pics from a couple of establishments in Joburg and I’m not convinced that it works.

To be honest I think you would benefit more from a calorie deficit combined with a gym membership , if you don’t have yet. Those things usually require a ridiculous amount of sessions and I don’t even know if they work. You could put that money into your own little home gym. Not sure until what extend those before and after pics are photoshopped to make people use it as a shortcut.

Lol...Paula... I have been steadily losing weight for 20 months after having kids. I have my own little home gym. I workout every single day. I do weight training and cardio. Problem is you cannot spot reduce no matter what they say. Thanks for the tip though 🤞

Waist away, absolutely. Makes me quite uncomfortable when I see people saying “I want to lose only belly fat”. There is no such thing. I am still bringing my body fat down because I want a lower ab. 😆 You have to keep on it. Stay consistent and see your body changing day after day. 👍

Agreed. I think what Michael, FGS and I are just regering to would be that last resort. If after years and years, all the exercise, weight training, and write frankly prayers at a certain point that your body won't take more boobs and will now get rid of my c section pooch, then what are any further options

Fact- when loosing body fat, the stomach area is the very last place that dissappears. Unfortunately reality. Keep on doing what you do and you will see the results. Be patient but relentless in your excercises. You'll see results.

Apparently the c section pooch will not go away. alot of women go for a mummy makeover or a c tuck after their Caesars....this is the excess skin from the cutting through seven layers to deliver baby. so even after getting to goal weight, you still left with this tiny fold of skin....read up on c tuck. I've tried coolsculpting a long time ago .. didn't work.

@Lessthan15 🤣🤣 i totally hear you, but not ready to accept having it forever. I don't know about having a nip tuck, but it's definitely good to hear from an actual person on their experience, and not an "online review"

@waistaway....I've never had a tummy issue ever even when I was chubby except after the birth of my 4th child... emergency Caesar....other 3 normal birth. So yes been stuck with the dreaded pooch since. Have read up and read up and read up ..I follow alot of people on Instagram and they have all gone for mummy makeovers or similar after reaching desired weights as that little pooch never went. Myself personally, I'm quite a tiny person...and even after getting to close to goal...My goal is 52. I'm around 55/56 currently...the pooch has gotten smaller but unfortunately not gone. I noticed though that it's no longer numb as it used to be....4 and half years since the Caesar.

@LessThan15 - it's such a difficult thing to accept. I am also fairly small, though probably taller etc than you. I didn't have a choice with regards to a c section - we needed a pediatric cardiologist on hand the day my first was born, and second was also an emergency. I must admit, the idea of say a tummy tuck (or any surgical intervention) doesn't sound so good to me and the expense thereof is just something I'm not sure of. I've been taking collagen, doing derma rolling, exercising (lots of weight training) and I hope at some point i will get where I want to be. I'm very happy with my progress to date, but I want to feel confident without clothes too 🙈

Waistaway, I know our situations are a bit different. I have only a kid and can’t comment on the c section inconvenients because I have no experience with it, however what I can tell you is to keep bringing your fat percentages down and make that core strong in the meantime via compound movements and ab targeted exercises too. Unfortunately that’s something lots of people complain about and some didn’t even have kids. We can only be patient and consistent
