I have been fasting since around 6 p.m. yesterday except last night I had a bit of a runny nose so took zinc tab and NyQuil. I am pretty sure the NyQuil breaks a fast. Right?

depends. if you had a standard dose, no. if you drank the bottle, yes. that's a cocktail, no matter how foul it tasted.
