So sorry for your situation! I can sympathize, though we have wood heat so we are keeping warm. Put on all those warm clothes and cover up with blankets, or stay in bed. I expect when things start thawing we will have some broken pipes too. Be safe!

Finally got power last night still on. Warm meal not exactly Keto but I was hungry. Still cold and snowing. So glad I’m smaller not a problem wearing many layers! In bed right now. Warm and toasty wow! Oh haven’t seen tv since Sunday. That’s weird no news is good news as they say. TMI can’t shower as water froze!

The pipe situation sounds awful! Hope you can get them fixed asap! My sister has been without power 4 days but at least she can go to work during the day and charge her phone.. She also has a wood burning fireplace. But she's also alone so she's been texting and crocheting to pass the time. Hope its fixed for you soon! In the meantime it sounds like you're finding ways to keep warm. Hang in there!

Oh no! We still have power thankfully but our drifts were over 5’ tall (don’t know how much we actually got as nobody can agree lol). Hope your power comes on soon and you get those pipes fixed! A lot around here (Oklahoma) have burst pipes 😞.

Yes we are in Texas north of S.A., power was out three days. We went to our old home, my husbands business Where there is a fireplace. We camped out there for two nights. Came back home Thursday as power didn’t go off and was warm and bed felt so good. Yes we are much better now but others are not so lucky Heard today a 69 year old man froze to death as his home temp was 35. That is what temp our home was. Now our cps is raising our prices. God Bless us all.

Hubby has coworkers in Texas and they’ve said TX has been hit hard too. Crops and fruit trees are probably done for. So many without power or water. I can’t imagine it getting that cold inside! We have a wood stove so can hang up blankets and keep it fairly warm in just the main part of the house when necessary. Guess I can imagine it because back in 2002 right before we got married we had an ice storm and no power for days. Loved in a really old home that had windows that let in air. We bundled up and slept in sleeping bags that were rated to like -20. Hubby puts off a lot of body heat but he didn’t share as he was bundled up too lol.

We live in an 1850’s rock home. Lots of shaky windows and cracks. Normally it’s great. But this was no picnic. We have four fireplaces here but none are useable due to size. Smoke pours in house. So they are capped off! Yes water was cut for everyone having water service. And we are lucky to have a well. Thank you all for the support!
