ok, steady IT goes. Nice to see the "IT" box show a downward creep :-) It has been extremely difficult for me to get over the daily cravings (especially in the evening & night). But so far, so good and the next day I am so relieved I did not 'give in' the day/night before. I just need to keep that feeling in mind when those cravings appear. Today will be another challenge (of course). My BFF & I are getting together most of the day, so I'm sure there will be food involved. I think I'll try to keep it to a salad and broiled fish, if we go out. AND stay away from her 'mountains' of snacks if we stay in. (maybe I'll bring my little cooler with s/f jello & nonfat plain yogurt for snack if we stay in & watch a movie. I'm still on my "JMA ALL" plan (just a reminder of foods allowed at no limit:
"eat all you want whenever you want" foods are; lettuce, scallions, cucumbers, green peppers, celery, cantaloupe, strawberries, lemon juice, diet drinks, tea, cod/sole/flounder/haddock, veggie broth, vinegar, LC gelatin, pickles, plain yogurt, cottage cheese, herbs & spices).
I know if we go out I won't be able to tell the restaurant what goes in my salad but normally salads are good, I'll just say no croutons or cheese & stick with vinegar & lemon & broiled or grilled fish, no sauce and see how that goes. I'm within 5-9 # of my goal (142-138) I think this is the closest I've gotten & stuck with it in many, many years. So I can't give up now. THE big test will be next Sunday, Super Bowl party at her house. I already said I'm bringing a vegie tray. I know she will have other items. But I plan on eating my main meal just before I go over (since it is in the evening) and munch on celery sticks or other crunchy vegies during the game. I'm not a big Super Bowl football fan but one of her friends is and she like the commercials and just an excuse to get together & eat a bunch of 'food'. I just need to remember also that I am trying NOT to eat 'fake food' & fast food. So even after I reach my goal I am planning on sticking to that and stay away from chips & dip & candy, etc. Well wish me luck & strength to keep with my woe.
