Also, I hear pole dancing burns a boat load of calories, and I'm sure it spices up the sex life...a twofer!!! LOL! I have heard a lot of women are installing them in their homes. I suppose that would take some extra time because you would have to go to an actual class and learn how to do it with out breaking your neck!

Haha... I am not coordinated enough to pole dance- not to mention strong enough and then the fact that it wouldn't go with my home decor. :)

Lmh... I do the same go up and down the stairs in our two story home multiple times a day. I make every trip a double trip If I have to go upstairs I go up tuen around go down and back up again.... sounds crazy. I recently retired from a ten hour a day five day a week desk job I had to find a way to work in the exercise. I did the same at work.... trips to the potty and water fountain even though I was on the first floor I took the stairs up and down and up and down again to the second floor. Think out of the box!

I'm the opposite and feeling very lazy. I have a basket on the stairs of crap that needs to go up and I make it in one trip. Definitely realizing I need to do more!

DP, I'm not sure it goes with any home decor!? LOOOOL!! Crazycat, not crazy at all, all those little things add up to an extra 200 or 300 calories burned a day, maybe even a little more. If more activity is needed there are very simple ways to get it in with out having to take another 30 mins, at once, to make another trip to the gym or on the treadmill. Another thing I do is to do a few squats while I am hand washing dishes, loading the dish washer, loading the washer or switching wash to the dryer, those squats add up!! Once I have folded the clothes I lift the basket 10 times, this won't build muscle for people lifting like DP but it burns a few extra calories. When I am walking, for exercise not work, I squeeze my butt in for 30 seconds and then my stomach for 30 seconds and keep repeating. That helps tighten and lift the butt and tighten the stomach and it also makes the walk burn a few extra calories! everyone should all add comments to this post about things they do to get a little extra activity in! It would be beneficial for everyone, I'm sure others have little tricks that I would love to learn

Now I am really curious to find out how Wifey is burning that many calories per day. Is it a Fitbit or Apple Watch? Do you wish to share? DP, it will be interesting to read about your progress if you jog and wish to share it. Hopefully success in getting out of the plateau!

Here's one for you DP, get some 2lb strap on ankle weights and wear them at work and at home. By the end of the day you will have a decent lower leg work out and burned extra calories, all while doing other things you normally do anyways. Just don't wear those good looking Pumas, the ankle weights will cause rubbing on the shoes and wear them out.

Imh and Ireland, I wear and love my Apple Watch. 10 000 for me is a slow day! 🙃 And I burn the cals easily... I own a cleaning business. 💪🏻👍🏻😊 It’s as imh said, cleaning, especially like I do, burns a ton of cals. No joke!! I clean hard, and very thorough! I do private homes, condo buildings and even cars seasonly. It’s not easy. Very physical. I’m a full time mom and wife and help my hubby with our church/charity as well. I am constantly going and have been forcing myself to sit lately. 😜😂 I hate doing nothing, so I cook, bake and workout with weights 5 days a week. Does this explain my calorie burn? Oh, and I never take elevators, park the furthest I can from store entrances etc. Just all in a day of my life! And I love every second!

Thank you wifey and Imh2882 for sharing. I have been trying to get to 30,000 steps so I really wondered as I don't find it easy and actually I never have!
