I do have a question Letty! I was wondering if you lift what they call heavy weights or if you just do many repetitions. I am curious as what it takes to get such nice looking defined muscles. You look really good and I love it when you post.

I haven't had any kind of surgery, except a C-section and my wisdom teeth removed. I'd definitely love to get skin removal surgery someday. But no money for that. I do both heavy lifting and light weights with lots of reps. I do Body Pump and Zumba Toning and Piloxing. The latter two I'm an instructor. So I teach 4-5 Piloxing classes a week and about 4-5 Zumba Toning classes a week. I go to my sister's Body Pump class about 3 times a week. Sometimes I go heavy in Body Pump sometimes I use medium weights. It just depends on my mood. Now I didn't start out doing so many classes, I've built up endurance over the past 6 years.

Thank you so much Letty! I went to youtube to see what those workouts look like. That is a lot of work! I am impressed and your hard work shows. I know I wouldn't last trying them and if I ever did I would start very slowly, I know better!

I wish I lived in a bigger city. I've never done any kinda cardio class. I think it would be motivating- plus I hate to fail in front of others so it would probably keep me trying harder. LOL.

I found body pump interesting you would be good at it DP. Your workout is working for you and you also have good definition. I won't be able to lift heavy weights, tennis elbow and other arm problems.

I'm not familiar with it, Ireland but I've heard it mentioned a couple times on fs. Maybe there's something nearby. Thanks!

I live in a town of 8,000. Zumba was pretty much the only classes that were taught at the gym, which is part of the hospital. Then there was a Zumba Toning class. Those are the two fitness certifications I started with. Then my sister and I got certified to teach Pound, which never really took off here, I have dropped my license to teach it. Then she went and got Body Pump, we went together to a Piloxing training and in Feb we're going to a BodyFlow (yoga) training. If it wasn't for us going to all those different trainings there would probably still be just Zumba and Zumba Toning.

DP I really think you would like Body Pump, it's fantastic. And Piloxing is so much fun. It's boxing, Pilates, and a little bit of dance. The people here have really enjoyed it. We have a lot of fun teaching it. It's really great.

That is great Letty that you have given the people the opportunity. There are videos on youtube. If ever I am energetic enough I might try the Body Pump with very light weights. I don't even know if I could last 5 minutes! It is nice of you to share, this way people can see what is out there. We don't have very much where I live.

Letty...maybe I can be a trainer, too. Lmao! It's funny even more because I'm not friendly enough and like to keep to myself. That's awesome though! If not for you and your sister, there would be very little for everyone. Just when I thought you couldn't be more inspiring! 💪🏼❤️ very cool!

DP, I'm shy, quiet, I keep to myself, I'm not very talkative. I'm not a very social person. I hate being the center of attention, that probably comes from being so over weight since the 2nd grade. I would have never imagined that I would have become a fitness instructor and stand in front of a group of people and lead them in an exercise program. I took a HUGE step out of my comfort zone, I left that sucker in the dust when I went to get licensed for Zumba. I don't even remember that day, it's all a blur. But I had made up my mind to do it and I saw it through. There's something that happens when the music starts. It brings something outta me and now I can't imagine not being an instructor. It the best job ever. Joining the gym saved my life, changed my life for the better. Sometimes you gotta take that step into the unknown, great things can happen there.
