Feed the stray a little bit every morning or evening. He will become yours or at least stick around some and maybe take care of the mice outside at least. If you think he’s house trained you can bring him in to get the mouse then put him outside again.

The cats don't need a lot of house training like a dog. You just buy him a cat little box and show it to him. Simple! 🤷♀️

My best friend has two cats and her house is immaculate but when I cat-sit...that little area they are in smells like...well, cat piss and poop. It doesn't travel through her house but I've had other friends who are...as the commercial says- "nose blind" and it is nearly debilitating.

Well... just like humans if a cats poop and urine smells bad you can blame it on their diet. Just like humans who expel gas. You need to feed quality grain free food to your felines. And the litterbox is a non issue for me if you use good quality unscented litter and scoop every day. It is the scented ones mixed with cat urine that is the issue and cause the odor. For me.....walking into someones house that has the dreaded dog smell or scent of dog poop in the yard.... yuck. Cats also do not like the scent of citrus so using a citrus based cleaner on the counters is a natural deterent, Not trying to convert anyone to be a cat lover but the assumptions above are sad and uneducated. I can walk into someones home and know immediately if they have a dog. So to each his own furry friends!

@ccc... I know busters fat ass smells. It's a constant need to vacuum and sweep. Purposely got hardwood and tore up the carpet. But thankful he can't get on the counter and nothing touches the smell of cat piss as far as terrible scents. Nothing! Agree to disagree. 😘

DP- just because someone has a family pet that is a cat does not mean their home smells like cat piss. You must have had a bad experience in the past to have an aversion to cats. That has not been my experience. I love both cats and dogs! Dogs need more care like outdoor potty breaks and when I retire look forward to that addition to my family unit. Just hope my 12 year old cat will adapt to a dog....I think she will because she knows she is loved and I would never do anything to cause her harm. Pets are the best no matter the species!
