Encouragement post for anybody with a long way to go (100lbs +)

Just know that I started at 22 years old at 273 pounds. The first time I got on the elliptical I only did 10 minutes, got very shaky and got a very red face and came home and passed out on my couch!!!

I also had a very hard time losing just cutting my portions...it didn't work for me, even after months the weight wasn't coming off until I discovered low carb and that finally made the weight come off.

I found out later that I have hypothyroidism which may have possibly been the reason? Still not sure.

Anyway...when I remember starting I never would have thought I'd be easily doing an hour of spin class...planking...75 sit ups with a weight ball.

Don't look around and compare yourself to others at the gym! You don't know where they came from, you really don't!

I have women stop me at the gym after they see me doing abs and I say "I can't even do one of those!!!" and I respond with "this didn't happen over night". It doesn't happen over night!!! Strive to be better than you were yesterday...that's the trick. And don't think about how long it will take! I love the quote "don't worry about how long it will take, the time will pass anyway." and I agree 100%. Just move forward everyday and only compete with yourself. If you need breaks take a break...but make sure you give it your everything and be honest with yourself! Take it one day, or one week at a time!!!

Plan plan plan those meals...eating is 90% of my weight loss!!!

And know that when you take it one day at a time and set mini goals that you'll wake up one day and realize...omg...the day finally came!!!! You'll be where you never imagined :)
