Hopeful Banter's Journal, 19 Jun 18

Have lost a total of 10kg over a 7 week period on the Banting Diet. Had a "spike" day yesterday in order to reset my metabolism. After my "spike", I only drank water and skipped dinner. In spite of this "spike" I still lost weight!
76.3 kg Lost so far: 10 kg.    Still to go: 9.3 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Losing 1.1 kg a Week

Need carbs and cheat meals to shock ur system so it doesn't get stuck in one mode? Unfortunately not keto friendly but great for banting

Thanks guys. This will sound stupid but I had to say it, I haven’t seen the difference btwn banting and Keto. What’s the one thing that sets the two apart?

With keto the aim is to keep ur body in ketosis for as long as possible. Meaning no carb cheats or spikes because they could take the body out of ketosis. And it takes a long time for the body to reach that fat burning state of ketosis. Once broken, cravings return as well as the feeling of hunger which r not really present once one is in ketosis
