Big Boy Optimus's Journal, 13 Nov 17

My unofficial weight this morning is 119.7kg.

I'm really going in the wrong direction. Last week was really hectic and I went completely off plan.

I started training heavier at gym and it just increased my appetite and I caved in at dinner time on my fast days last week and I never tracked my eating.

Perhaps it's time to look at some appetite suppressants just to take the edge off.

This week will be a better week :)

are you trying to loose some fat or are you body building
13 Nov 17 by member: Jessica589
Jessica I've focused on fat loss and dropped over 35kg without much training at gym. Now I'm working out at gym to force my body to use up more calories. I can't really do proper body building because the eating required for fat loss and for muscle building are very different from each other. I have to stay in a calorie deficit to lose bodyfat and increasing my gym workout intensity will help me to break down more bodyfat. There will be some muscle growth but it won't be optimum growth that can be achieved by eating at excess calories and high protein daily.

As long as you having a lean Protein like Chicken or Rump steamed or Fried in Coconut Oil and alot of Steamed Green Veg, don't worry.Have 100-150g Chicken or Protein source.Your starchy carbs should only be after gym.Avoid anything grain based or made with flour. They're not healthy

does drinking lots of water help curb your appetite at all?
13 Nov 17 by member: Tabetha2015
Tabetha yes, water does help but everyone has different levels of a hormone called Ghrelin that controls your appetite so we need to look into what we can consume to help with the appetite at times.

Omega 3 tablet in the morning and green tea kind of does it for me but I’m constantly hungry too

consider eating every 2hrs.as snacks have 5g no salt no sugar peanut butter
13 Nov 17 by member: At3yu24
thickums I decided to make my own supplement and will be using green tea extract. I have an import company so sourcing ingredients won't be a hassle. At3yu24 I can't eat every 2 hours due to my fasting lifestyle but I can make better choices and improve my food intake :)

How was your body fat loss with intermitten fasting?I'm sceptical to try it after I read numerous times it can cause muscle loss
13 Nov 17 by member: At3yu24
I never measured my bodyfat but I went from a size 46 jeans to fitting into a size 38. There definitely was good fat loss which I could see by the way I fitted into clothes. I was a person who could never wear a slim fit T-Shirt and then became somebody who went and bought about 7 of them! lol. I also gained muscle while following a fasting lifestyle. Fasting helps your body create more growth hormone. Those articles that state that fasting makes one lose muscle mass are misguided. Body fat is stored energy and your body will first break fat down before ever breaking down muscle tissue. Only very long periods of consecutive fasting can lead to that and I don't think anyone following a fasting lifestyle ever goes 7 or more consecutive days without any food.
