Yesterday at gym I decided to increase the weight on the incline bench press. The previous week I added 7.5kg on each side of the 30kg barbell(45kg total) so this time I decided to add a 10kg weight plate to each side so that would give me a 5kg increase with a total of 50kg. The weight plates were kept on a rack with 2.5kg at the top and then it increases in weight as you go lower down the rack(2.5kg, 5kg, 7.5kg, 10kg, 15kg). So I grabbed a plate from below the 7.5kg and loaded it on each side and started my workout. I did 12 reps in my 1st set, then 8 reps in my 2nd set and my 3rd set was much harder to do so I split it into two mini sets of 4 reps each. I was happy that I managed the increased weight but when I started taking the plates off I noticed that I had actually loaded 15kg plates instead of 10kg plates!!! So I was actually using a togtal weight of 60kg!!! WOW!!!
And then today at gym I decided that I'm going to try to beat my personal best of 420kg on the incline leg press. I started with 10 reps at 320kg then 360kg then 400kg and then I attempted 430kg. I just wanted to do maybe 3 reps but ended up doing 10! Personal best SMASHED!!! :) :D :)
I am extremely happy with my strength gains and I can attribute it to my research and choice in supplementation and nutrition. I am currently consuming Creatine, BCAA's, Whey Protein and something I formulated. I'm not on any steroids as my body fat percentage is way too high to even consider them.
Have an awesome weekend everyone :)
