My Friday fast day was a total fail!!!

I was doing well until 1pm. I just had this lingering hunger and I think it's because I did some dumbbell curls before sleeping on Thursday night. I've never had this problem before and the only difference now is that I'm doing some curls before I sleep. I thought that I could just eat and not exceed 600 calories and still keep it as a fast day but then I thought to myself I might as well just eat and satisfy myself and just avoid over indulging during the weekend :) I love the flexibility I have :)

I had a meeting with my new insurance broker on Thursday and sitting in her office I noticed her degrees on the wall behind her and it was from the same college I was in. I asked her what years she studied there and it was the same years as myself so I told her that she couldn't have studied there without knowing me because everyone on campus knew me(yup I was popular for good and bad reasons! LOL). I told her the nickname people knew me by and she said she knew that guy but that nickname but it wasnt me because she remembers a much bigger sized guy(she was trying not to be rude by saying bigger size than much fatter). I showed her my college pic on my facebook album and she was shocked because she knew that guy in the pic I showed her and said I look like a completely different person now!!! That was such an awesome feeling to hear those words!!!

I've learnt an important lesson during my journey :
A failed fast day does not mean failure. I just need to keep going.

It's 10:30am now on Saturday morning and I'm having a cup of coffee and I have no hunger whatsoever! lol! I guess I was just having one of those weird days on Friday.

BBO, after that little story, I am wondering which college you went to. We are the same age and I went to college in KZN. Btw, those are the compliments that motivate us to push on!! Well done, you truly inspire me.

FG2F I went to Durban Institute of Technology(formerly ML Sultan and Natal Technikon). Now it's known as Durban University of Technology. But I also did visit friends at UKZN and UDW alot :D

Ahh it would have been great if we went to the same college, I was at UND (now UKZN) :P

Maybe I saw u or knew you in UND, I used to hang out at the Ref, shepstone, science block, that shop by the library, etc. lol
