My doctor told me any gain of 10-15kg is okay but also its dependent on your starting weight when you get pregnant.when I was pregnant I gained 10,5kg- what worked for me was to eat healthy and exercise. When it comes to eating only add an additional 300 calories to your normal RDI-after first trimester. Are you allowed to walk instead of run? Have you thought of trying those pregnancy exercise DvDs- if you don't want to buy, there are tons on YouTube?

How about swimming or yoga. These are low impact. Check with your Doc. Breastfeeding after babba is born is wonderful for bonding and healthy... and mom benefits as it accelerates weight loss too.

ooooh no running!! i feel your pain - im recovering from an injury, so i know how you feel. how about walking? still out in the fresh air, just not as intense? enjoy your pregnancy but dont believe the eating for 2 thing :) as long as you keep your eating reasonably clean i wouldnt worry too much about the weight gain. and remember to rub the belly full of bio oil. i dont know if it makes a difference or not, i didnt and im sorry i didnt at least try. good luck xoxo

thanks for all the advise girls. I am on my feet a lot at work and weekends im always in the shops. My husband and I normally go for a walk on a sunday late afternoon which is nice. Otherwise walking bores me a bit, running was a great mental switch off. Been watching my calorie intake. I just cant stop eating chocolates (before pregnancy i didnt touch chocolate at all). @Tanya49 Im using happy events and palmers cocobutter, so far so good. got a nice round tummy with no new stretch marks (i have a few from before, nothing serious)

Happy Event is brilliant. Used that with both my children and don't have a single stretch mark. It really works!
