Allisa1's Journal, 15 Jul 20

okay so in a year ive gained over 10kg and cant find the motivation, especially with lockdown, running became null and void as there was an armed robbery the one night when I went running, so now I'm afraid, then can't train at home to full potential with no weights own body weight can only push your ability so far, my brain has switched off and I'm finding it very hard to switch on again. from a once very motivated and challenged person to a very unchallenged and motivated person, sigh at life

The best thing you can do now, is weigh in all the positives. You don’t need exercise equipment to lose weight. It’s unfortunate you can’t run as it was your favourite form of exercise. If you don’t have a treadmill, you can always walk around your garden and house. An hour or two per day is enough exercise. I don’t do anything else but walk. If you concentrate on tensing your core stomach muscles and squeezing those buttocks while walking. It will firm up those problem areas nicely 😄 a bit of resistance training like pushups and burpees are the only other two exercises you need. Just concentrate on keeping your calories below RDI and you should lose the 10kgs. Don’t worry about how long it will take. Just worry about taking control of your eating habits. That’s what I did when I was in your same predicament. Good luck, I hope you can get your mind back in the game♥️

I have an incredible trainer and he offers online Zoom classes at different times throughout the day. He would be happy to have you join for a freebie to see if it vibes with you. His email Addy is romeobrand996@gmail.com Our workouts include shadow boxing, hiit/conditioning and light weights.

I feel very much like you. right now I'm just trying to eat healthy. trying to accept my body as is and if I get a surprise on the scale: yay. but if I don't I'm not gonna let it bother me. just keeping healthy at this point. one day when lockdown is over I will try again.

If you like there's a women's whatsapp group. Not sure where in the world you're based but we have people from UK, SA, Zambia and Zim in the Group and we share meal recipes and encourage one another. In addition, we have evening workouts on Zoom. Its a great space. Has helped kick-start my weight loss journey during this lockdown. Can seen your deets and can ask the admin to add you if interested.
