Nikina70's Journal, 04 Sep 20

Felt good starting to track again on Monday and I took my monthly measurements too. Up by 1cm around the bum and tum, but that's alright. I feel like I'm ready to get back to it. Managed a 30min and 40min workout this week. First one was just to say I did something, but the second one I really broke a sweat and felt like I worked. Even had to pause the video for a bit to lie on the floor and get my breath back, which is a good sign that I was pushing myself. Looking forward to more of that - my workout setup is now sorted in my new temporary bedroom. Weights are still too light, but it's better than nothing and I can't get new ones until we're properly settled overseas (hopefully early next year) so I'll be patient with life in limbo right now.

The move went ok last week and it's nice to not have that stress any more. Also had some progress on heading towards the transfer, which we're so grateful for. I was hoping for more of a drop, but I'll take this measly 100g and just focus on next week. It's very hard living with people who bake a lot and make delicious winter puddings, but I'll just try to track it all and try to practice portion control with my trusty kitchen scale and try to keep my water intake up. Hubby is not helping - he ate a whole bag of Doritos in two days - usually I would portion his as well - but bad habits are creeping in. There are biscuits on display in the kitchen at all times - not good!

Luckily I did find the Kauai Vanilla Plant Protein powder I like at Checkers yesterday so I'm chuffed to have that for some added protein. Still only hitting about 60g a day last month and I'd like to increase that to about 65 if I can, but between the two would be fine for now.

Been trying to find the best spot for my scale all week. This morning I settled for a flat area in the bathroom and to be sure I weighed my little dog as well and she was exactly 4.5kg so I knew it must be right then. So, I might be doing that for a while just to check - thanks to Lettygaylor for the tip!

Onward and downward FS Friends! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Thanks DP! Lol! Your dog is gorgeous though! Our bigger dog, who we sadly lost about 2 years ago, was over 80 pounds so I couldn't have lifted him either.
