Nikina70's Journal, 10 Jul 20

Tracked fairly well this week and aiming for below 1800 daily average calories. Last week ended with 1805 and 4 days of IF. This week it will be 5 days of IF. Did 110 mins of YouTube workouts, which included some ab work so that felt great. I think I should try to include more ab stuff in general.

Did this workout this morning:

And this one looks good for tomorrow if I get around to it:

Thought the scale would be lower today as it said 66.2kg on Wednesday, but not to worry. If it takes another week to get to 66 or below that's fine. I feel like I'm on the right track for now. Been having lukewarm lemon water in the morning, another glass of water and a black coffee before breaking my fast at noon so think I'll try to keep that up too.

Feeling a bit bummed about not getting out. A year ago today hubby and I took the day off and went to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 2, I think, and I remember it being such a fun day. Today - yes you are apparently allowed to go to the movies - but I wouldn't feel safe going anywhere and just feeling overall down about it. Will try to snap out of it! Hot 'slap' chips are on the menu today so something to look forward to, but I'm actually just as excited about my other meal, which is a warm bowl of oats with all sorts of yumminess in it.

Have a great weekend everyone!

You’re doing great! I’m happy that IF is working for you. I’m totally with you regarding the movies with everything going on now. I miss that and eating out terribly. But still too scary even if places are reopening. You can do movie night with the hubby at home and make it really fun! Do you have an outdoor space where you are? If I had a back yard, I’d probably invest in a projector and I’d be doing movie nights outside. Best wishes to you!

Thanks nnwd! We are lucky to have outdoor space for now, but we're moving soon - so downsizing - at least for a while. We did watch a movie by candlelight last night though and had some red wine and snacks. Mostly thanks to something called loadshedding, which just started again yesterday in South Africa, but there are silver linings in every situation. All the best on your journey too! I always enjoy your posts!
