I'm so bloated I look pregnant 🤦🏼‍♀️ that's because I've been on/off the keto diet the last month or so. I start Monday fresh and by Thursday/Friday I give in and eat carbs again. And not just any carbs but white bread, doughnuts, sweets etc. Its been tough. I've been losing discipline in other parts of my life as well. Really need to get focused again. So tomorrow I'm starting yet again. Wish me luck
90.6 kg Lost so far: 19.4 kg.    Still to go: 15.6 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I suggest that you do not cut out carbs completely, but try to incorporate them in your diet while maintaining your recommended calorie intake. I lost 20kg myself, while eating white bread almost daily, yes white bread. I realized that once I completely cut out carbs, i can’t control my cravings and end up eating more of them. What’s important is keeping within your calorie intake. Good luck

@Anna, girl im so like you that ive been telling people the Keto diet no longer works for me (because it has worked before) meanwhile i know that it has been me and all my carb cravings, so im with you girl and fully understand what ure going through. on the other hand @Charla, how on earth did you do that? girl tell me all about it please

@buyimthembu, I was sticking to 1200 calories per day. So, I would use 200 - 300 calories on bread. Then adjust everything else I eat to fit under 1200 calories. Well that’s just me, because I love bread

Am with you Anna. It’s hard. Loadshedding came and gave me an excuse to eat bread like I just discovered it. Now am debating with myself if I should just re start keto next monday.

Restrictive dieting often leads to binge eating, I personally wouldn’t ever do keto/Atkins etc because I make much better food choices when I allow myself to eat

Remember there are various levels of Keto, ie under 20g carbs/day and under 50g carbs/day. It all works, just the pace is different. So choose what works for you, and you can live with. I started on strict Keto and am now on below 50g / day. Though I’m now losing slower, I’m still losing and able to have occasional pizza even (Thick base pizza nogal😀). Don’t look at it as a diet, rather as a lifestyle.
