No Scale Victory - going to a restaurant and choosing the salad option as a treat instead of feeling like I owe it to myself to chow down on all the chips. the NSV here is appreciation of my state of mind. And that salad was crazy good. Roast butternut, all sorts of other roasted veggies and seeds and a red onion glaze... nomnom

Zuna. It's not been easy getting here. Took me about 4 years honestly. The first two years were just about wanting to change but never really doing the work to change. Then I got bored of my own excuses... It's too late, too cold, I'm tired, busy day at work... The excuses were endless!! In the last year, what I have found really works for me is tracking. I keep a diary and every month I draw up a chart with habits that I want to improve through the month... I mark them off daily and at the end of the month I can hold myself accountable (I'll post a pic). On Sunday, I spent AGES reading the menu. AGES.. HUSBAND WAS STARVING 😂 I wanted the burger and chips, I really did. But when I took the time and read the menu I realised that just being out with my guy, was enough of a treat, that kind of thinking is new to me. I've also found the type of exercise that I enjoy... And that keeps me super pumped

Oh, Zuna- Other things that keep me motivated... This app for sure! The people on here are genuinely supportive. I practice intermittent fasting and that has given me a more mindful appreciation for whY food means to me and honestly has changed my relationship with food (always was an emotional eater but im so much more controlled now and able to separate eating and feeling a lot easier now) I never put any food in my mouth without tracking it first. I often have treats but they are all accounted for... Yes for Crunchies!!! Also.. when I want to stop eating at night, I brush my teeth... That too me signals that the shop is closed 🤣🤣🤣
