I started my weight loss journey 19 years ago, on the 5th of July 2002, the morning my second child was born, I weighed in at 134kg's. It took me two years to loose 10kg's on my own. I decided to join a diet clinic in May 2004, and was amazed at the results, I lost 38kg's in 30 weeks and learned how to eat a balanced diet. I then went from 86kg's to between 72 and 74kg's through balanced diet and exercise at home.
In 2013 I welcomed my third child and managed to loose the 20kg's I put on during my pregnancy before I went back to work four months later, I then welcomed my 4th child in 2015 and again put on 20kg's, however this time it took a lot longer to loose the baby weight.
After seeing a foto of myself holding my 4th child, I decided drastic action was needed and I cut out sugar totally. I weighed 89kg's and was horrified.
This is where my Intermittent Fasting journey began. I managed to loose 17kg's in about 6 months and Intermittent Fasting has now become a lifestyle for me and I can easily see myself living this way forever. I now weigh what I weighed in High school and I still eat treats every day, I just stick to my calorie budget and make sure I burn more calories than I eat everyday. I can honestly say for the first time in my life that I love food. I always hated food and blamed it for my weight issues. But now that I have learned how to eat healthy, I love it, I love buying food, I love making food and I definitely love eating food. Being a stay at home, homeschooling mom to two very active boys keeps my life busy and interesting😁.
